IT'S ON GOD'S TIME

I have said many prayers over the years begging God to heal my son. My heart was broken when I realized my prayers went unanswered every time Justin had a bout with his seizures. Why wouldn't God stop these dreadful seizures from plaguing an innocent child? I realized at one point if Justin's healing was to come about then it would be on God's time and not mine.
I found comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV which states "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." It has become one of my favorite scriptures. I don't understand why some things have happened. It is a test that we must go through and I realized if I trusted in God, then he would help us through these trying times.
I now fast forward from Justin's toddler years to his late teen years and am overjoyed to say that God healed my son of his seizures. He has been seizure free for quite some time and off seizure medication for about six months now. What have I learned from this? One word.....patience.
In closing I would like to say, don't give up. Trust in God more than you trust in yourself and remember to be thankful for the prayers God has already answered.
